Test drives
The Big Event offers a unique opportunity to test drive a wide range of vehicles, including standard production cars and vehicles fitted with popular driving adaptations. You can test drive both as a driver or passenger with a qualified driving instructor.
Speaker Sessions & The Big Event: Streamed Live

Speaker Sessions
The Big Event welcomes a range of expert speakers to its event line-up every year. Guests will be able to attend several talks to find out more about the Motability Scheme including electric vehicles, information on WAVs and adaptations and much more. Each session will last approximately 20 minutes, with a chance to ask some questions at the end.
The Big Event: Streamed Live
For our guests not able to attend The Big Event, join our host Helen Dolphin, MBE as we will be live streaming all the Speaker Sessions PLUS exclusive live interviews, product demos and Q&As.

We want to make sure that all visitors to The Big Event have a fantastic day, that's why we do our best to make our events as accessible and inclusive as possible. Here is some information that we hope will help you plan your visit.
Getting to the NEC (Hall 18)
By Car
The NEC is clearly signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6 - just pop B40 1NT in your sat nav.
When you arrive at the NEC don’t follow your sat nav anymore, look out for signs to The Big Event.
Free parking at the NEC - to access the free parking simply follow the signs to the ‘The Big Event’s designated car parks. These car parks are for our guests and are also the closest car parks to our event entrance.
By Train
Getting to The Big Event by train is easy, as the NEC is located less than a ten-minute walk from Birmingham International Railway Station.
A free shuttle bus will be running to and from Birmingham International Railway Station and The Big Event in Hall 18. To access the shuttle bus, simply turn right after the station barriers and head towards the NEC entrance. After 10 meters, on your left, you will see a sign for The Big Event shuttle bus. There is a lift here, which will take you down to the bus stop. The shuttle bus will then take you to Entrance 3, close to Hall 18. The return journey will run from here back to the station. There will be a sign for The Big Event shuttle bus outside Entrance 3 to show the exact pickup point. The buses will run every 15-20 minutes.
By Bus
Jumping on a bus from Birmingham City Centre? You’ll want the X1 service (every 15 minutes) or the 97A (every 30 minutes). Local services also run from Solihull (966) and Coventry (900).
By Taxi
The NEC have teamed up with TOA Taxis to ensure a safe, friendly service is available to you 24/7.
