One Big Day events are back in 2022
Exciting news: We’re pleased to announce our face-to-face events are back for 2022 with the return of The Big Event and the regional One Big Days. These events offer the perfect chance for visitors to find out everything they need to know about the Scheme and see the latest range of products available, as well as having questions answered by Scheme experts.
The events programme kicks-off with The Big Event at the NEC in Birmingham on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May 2022.
Four reasons to come along to The Big Event at the NEC!
- Explore a wide range of vehicles available on the Scheme – all under one roof!
This two-day flagship event is the Scheme’s biggest event of the year and showcases a large display of cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), adaptations, powered wheelchairs and scooters.
- NEW: Electric Vehicle Info Hub!
Showcasing a selection of electric vehicles, home charging points from our charging partners Ohme and Easee, the latest charging app technology and a chance to speak to EV experts. The Electric Vehicle Info Hub will help visitors discover if an electric vehicle is right for them.
- Hear from experts – Speaker Sessions are back!
Don’t miss The Big Event Speaker Sessions – running on both days, you’ll hear all the latest news about the Scheme, its products, electric vehicles and other interesting motoring and accessibility related topics. A full line-up will be announced closer to the event, so stay tuned!
- Test drive right then and there!
To help visitors find the right solution, test drives will be available with professional driving instructors in a variety of cars, including a range fitted with popular driving adaptations.
There’s no need to book. On the day, just simply head over to our friendly test drive team who will help book a test drive. There is also an indoor test drive track where visitors can try a range of different powered wheelchairs and scooters options.

For anyone not able to attend The Big Event in person, they can watch the live expert Speaker Sessions and exclusive footage from across the two-days, all from the comfort of home.”

In addition to the event in Birmingham, there will be three regional One Big Day events taking place across the UK. All the events are free to attend, with free parking at fully accessible venues.
The One Big Day dates are:
- Saturday 23 July – One Big Day at Westpoint, Exeter
- Saturday 13 August – One Big Day at Yorkshire Event Centre, Harrogate
- Saturday 17 September – One Big Day at Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh
All our events are family-friendly and children can meet the Scheme mascot, Billy the Bear, who is always happy to take selfies. There will also be a children’s play area as well as cafés, plenty of seating, and accessible toilet facilities. Ear defenders are available on request at all the events, and a sensory room, providing a quiet space can be found at each venue.
